Few minorities make law partners

More than a decade after minority enrollment at law schools began to increase, few major law firms have minority partners, according to a New York Times survey.

The paper surveyed the 12 highest-grossing law firms in the country. Minorities accounted for about 5 percent of the new partners at seven firms.

Minority enrollment at elite law schools, meanwhile, is as high as 20 percent.
