Editorial: Norton should settle trust funds

FRIDAY, AUGUST 17, 2001 In an editorial today, The Denver Post calls on Secretary of Interior Gale Norton to settle the Cobell v. Norton trust fund lawsuit. The paper says the government has not been truthful about the case, from the destruction of documents to a $40 million trust fund software system that does not work. The paper says the government is wasting tax dollars by not pursuing a settlement. Get the Story:
