Towns want money for being tribal neighbors

Living next to reservations isn't as bad as it used to be, so long as tribes pay money to their neighbors who turn around and fight them anyway.

Three Connecticut towns located nearest the Mashantucket Peuqot Reservation receive money from the tribe's financially successful casino. But they say the funds aren't enough and want the tribe, or some entity, to pay them for the rise in traffic and crime and the cost of other services.

The towns and the tribe will be meeting for the third time next week to discuss a dispute over trust land.
