Towns plan to challenge Nipmuc recognition

A group of 10 towns in northeastern Connecticut say they will challenge the federal recognition of the Nipmuc Nation if the Massachusetts tribe seeks to open a casino in the area.

The towns say they don't want a casino to affect their quality of life. Otherwise, they say they won't challenge the tribe's recognition.
