A majority of the nation's police chiefs say racial profiling is not a problem in their departments, according to a survey released on Monday.

Some 60 percent say profiling is a problem, while more than half said they have taken some steps to combat it. Less than 20 percent, however, have developed policies to outlaw profiling.
