Choctaw Nation voters go to polls

MONDAY, JULY 16, 2001 Voters of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma on Saturday re-elected four incumbents to the tribal council. Lois Burton, representing District 4, Ted Dosh from District 9 and Bob Pate from District 11 were re-elected. They each ran unopposed. Jack Clarkson Austin defeated incumbent Glenn Dale Johnson in District 7. A run-off will be held August 4 for District 10 between Esias James Johnson and Johnnie Burleson. Get the Story:
