Judge denies McVeigh request for delay

JUNE 6, 2001 1:40 PM EDT - A federal judge in Colorado today denied a request by convicted Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh to delay his June 11 scheduled execution. McVeigh's defense team is planning an appeal to the 10th Circuit. Attorney General John Ashcroft is expected to make a statement soon. Get the Story:
