JUNE 5, 2000 The Miami Tribe of Oklahoma filed suit in the US District Court in St. Louis, Missouri, hoping to recover land in Illinois the tribe says it never ceded in an 1805 treaty. The land has an estimated value of $30 billion. The tribe hopes to open a casino in Illinois. Get the Story:
