JUNE 26, 2000 Having recently received preliminary recognition, the Little Shell Tribe of Montana celebrated this past Saturday with a gathering to discuss how the tribe will move forward once they become officially recognized. Some of the concerns mentioned at Saturday's meeting were land, enrollment, health care, education, and elections. The tribal council will hold a two-day meeting to discuss priorities and present their plan to the whole tribe. Get the Story:
