Writer wants to sue Pequot museum

JUNE 23, 2000 The US District Court in Hartford, Connecticut will rule on an bid by script writer Debra Basset to sue the directors of the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center. She alleges the museum stole her script and used it in their museum, but lost an earlier challenge when a court ruled the tribe itself was exempt from federal copyright laws. The ruling did not rule on individuals working for the museum. Get the Story:
