White House near choosing new FBI director

Robert S. Mueller III, a US Attorney in California, is the White House's top choice to head up the FBI, administration sources told the Washington Post on Tuesday.

A decision won't be announced until next week, however, they said. George J. Terwilliger III was a top choice, but drew some objection from Democrats.
