Tribe and law enforcement signhistoric agreement

In an effort to encourage cooperation between communities and to simplify the jurisdictional maze in Indian Country, the Fort Peck tribe and Montana city, county, and state officials have signed a cross-deputization agreement. The agreement was heralded by Calvin Red Thunder, director of the tribe's Department of Public Safety in Poplar, as a first. Get the Story:
