MARCH 16, 2001 The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation today plans on setting a date on when it will offer settlement to its land dispute with three Connecticut towns. On the eve of the date-setting proposal, The Norwich Bulletin talked to the parties involved. All said they were committed to meeting a second time to discuss the issue. The towns have opposed the addition of 165 acres of land to the tribe's reservation. They sued the Departmet of Interior but lost last fall. They have also opposed future expansions. The tribe has said it will seek to add a 1,200-acre parcel of land they own to their reservation, which is about 2,000 acres. Get the Story:
