Tribe county may partner on jail

The Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma and Cherokee County might open up a multi-jurisdictional jail to help relieve overcrowding and resolve health standards issues, say county officials.

The county has met with the tribe and the tribe's legal counsel says they are moving forward with the idea.
