The New London Day on Tuesday examined a map the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation says is not the version the state of Connecticut wants.

The paper says the tribe's version of the map appears to be same as the one on file at the Secretary of State's office. The paper says the only difference is that the boundaries are outlined in red in the tribe's map.

The state has asked the tribe for the map, because the state believes its the original. No one, including state officials and the tribe's lawyer, seems to know where the original is located, if its not in the possession of the tribe.
