Alberto Fujimori, ex-President of Peru, ordered his former spy chief to bribe top lawmakers, Vladimiro Montesinos said in a court affidavit provided to a judge overseeing corruption cases in the country.

Montesinos also implicated 100 others in a bribery scandal which toppled Fujimori's ten-year stronghold last year. He is currently beind held in a prison in Peru after being on the run for eight months.

Montesinos faces charges of gun running, money laundering and collaborating with drug traffickers.

Fujimori is wanted on human rights abuses and other charges but is now living in Japan, the ancestral home of his parents. He has been granted citizenship there as has his brother-in-law, a former official also implicated in a corruption case.
