Police Indians clash in Ecuador

Police in Quito, Ecuador, on Tuesday clashed with thousands of Indians protesting higher bus fares and cuts in fuel subsidies.

The Red Cross said at least 10 were injured. Police also arrested Antonio Vargas, president of the Confederation of Indigenous Nations of Ecuador, the country's largest indigenous movement and one of the protest organizers.
