Over 100 jailed Zapatista rebels will be freed, said Chiapas Prosecutor Mariano Herran Salvati on Thursday.

Zapatista leaders have been calling for the release of the rebels, whom they consider to be political prisoners. The release of the rebels and other supporters would fulfill one of the demands the Zapatista National Liberation Army.
