Police arrest Mayans for lynching

Police have arrested 22 Mayan Indians in Guatemala for allegedly participating in the lynching of three suspected criminals, officials said on Monday.

The three bodies were found in the village of Purula after being hung, burnt and buried together. Police said they did not know what spurred the lynchings.
