8 Reasons to Vote for Jim Gray!
In case you haven't heard, Native American Times owner / editor / reporter / marketing manager / promoter Jim Gray has put the paper formerly known as the Oklahoma Indian Times up for sale and is running for chief of the Osage Nation of Oklahoma.

As part of his campaign, he's listed eight reasons to vote for him, including increasing health care funds and making education a priority. So in honor of his new tack, In The Hoop is presenting our own list to help sway the undecideds!

8. Jim Gray looks at least 20 younger than current chief Charles Tillman. Come to think of it, he looks younger than a sapling.

7. Jim Gray doesn't think Osage oil is good for the soil. Just for the pocketbook.

6. Who's Jim Gray? He's that guy who hangs out at all the Oklahoma Indian meetings!

5. Jim Gray won't go on 60 Minutes unless it's to disparage certain oil executives. Or to disparage that Department of Justice "settlement."

4. Jim Gray won't spend $5,000 on pancakes to feed Gale Norton and Neal McCaleb.

3. Jim Gray will spend $50 on fry bread for Gale Norton and Neal McCaleb.

2. Jim Gray won't let some old mandate from Hilda Manuel / Sharon Blackwell / Some Department of Interior attorney dictate who is or isn't a tribal member.

1. Jim Gray just might settle the tribe's trust accounting lawsuit for a shot at something special in Kansas.
