President Bush on Monday supported legislation to require insurance companies to include coverage for mental illnesses.

The legislation is being pushed by Sens. Pete Domenici (R-N.M.) and Paul Wellstone (D-Wis.). Domenici has a daughter who suffers from schizophrenia.

Bush talked of the bill at the University of New Mexico. While in the state, he helped raise $500,000 for Republican candidates.
