Project sends goods to Pine Ridge

MONDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2001 For six years, Operation Morning Star has been sending food, clothes, equipment, toys, supplies and other needed goods to the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. Started by Richard Boyden of Independence, Missouri, he makes the 14-hour drive to the reservation three to four times a year to deliver the items. On Saturday, he makes the trip will pickup trucks towing 16-foot box trailers following behind. Over the years, Boyden says he has donated 35 tons of goods to the Oglala Lakota Tribe. Get the Story:
