Program helps youth fight addiction

FRIDAY, AUGUST 3, 2001 A group of Native American youth from various tribes are participating in a two-week program designed to fight drug and alcohol addiction with traditional teachings. The program, called "Our Youth, Our Future," includes visits to a sweat lodge, education courses and counseling. It encourages the youth to connect with their own roots to cure themselves.
