Alaska breast cancer bill signed

Alaska Governor Tony Knowles (R) signed into law a bill providing breast and cervical cancer treatment to poor women.

The bill implements changes President Bill Clinton signed into law last year. States can provide Medicaid coverage for breast and cervical cancer treatment for women whose income is up to 250 percent of the poverty level.
