Minn. elder program receives grant

APRIL 19, 2001 The Minnesota Board on Aging on Wednesday announced it has received a $200,000 grant for its Indian elder program. The grant is a SHARE Award from the University of Pennsylvania's Institute on Aging. The grant will help the Wisdom Steps program provide education and healthy-living activities for Indian elders. The program, in its first year, services about 400 of Minnesota's estimated 5,000 American Indian elders age 55 and older. Get the Story:
