Due to ongoing events related to September 11's terrorist attacks, the National Indian Health Board has postponed an upcoming national conference.

Originally scheduled for next month, "Into the Future: Indian Health in an Era of Medicaid, Managed Care and SCHIP" has been postponed until January. The three-day conference will still take place in Denver, Colorado, but from January 7-10, 2002.

"This conference will allow participants to learn about ‘promising practices’ and provide an opportunity to have input and hear feedback on federal policy recommendations coming from the study," said executive director Yvette Joseph-Fox in a statement.

Attendees who need their fees reimbursed will be notified within the next two weeks of how to obtain a refund. For more information, contact the health board at (303) 759-3075.
