Neb. money to aid minority health

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2001 Attendees of the Nebraska's annual minority health conference on Tuesday expressed hope that new money allocated by the state will improve minority health. The Legislature has earmarked $8.5 million on public health and $10 million on medical research. The money is taken from the state's share of the multi-state tobacco settlement. American Indians in Nebraska have twice the rate of diabetes than the rest of the population. Get the Story:
