FRIDAY, JANUARY 17, 2003 The following documents of note were published in today's Federal Register. National Indian Gaming Commission Fee Rates
The National Indian Gaming Commission announces its preliminary annual fee rates for calendar year 2003. The fees are used to help the NIGC carry out its mandate to regulate Indian casinos. Tribes are required to pay a certain, small percentage of their revenues, based on two categories: Tier I and Tier II. The rate for Tier I (assessable gross revenues of $1,500,000 or less) is 0.0%. The rate for Tier II (assessable gross revenues in excess of $1,500,000) is 0.059% (.00059) The total fee amount is capped by federal law at $8 million. Get the Notice:
