Pueblo receives nuclear contract

Acoma Pueblo in New Mexico has been awarded a $250,000 five-year emergency preparedness contract.

The contract will ensure the reservation is prepared for nuclear-related waste shipments that pass through tribal land. The low-level waste is bound for the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant in southern New Mexico.
