Secretary of Interior Gale Norton has asked for a fast review of a decision on drilling near a national park in Utah, The Salt Lake Tribune reports today.

An appeals director put a temporary halt on a development project near the Arches National Park. The Department of Interior's Board of Land Appeals is now considering the case.

Norton can override the board's decisions but didn't tell the paper's editorial board if she would do so.
