Protection of sacred spring urged

AUGUST 29, 2000 Indian leaders urged the protection of Camp Coldwater spring near the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and called on city, state, and federal officials to create a center dedicated to tribes in the area. Jim Anderson, cultural chairman of the Mendota Dakota community, said the site was sacred and historic. Get the Story:
