The Kickapoo Tribe has joined up with towns and water districts on a major water project to bring water to communities throughout northeastern Kansas.

The project could cost at least $200 million but estimates are shaky at this point. But since the tribe and other communities have experienced water shortages and drought conditions, the project is seen as necessary.
