Dynamite to rock reservation

JULY 31, 2000 More than 140 cases of surplus dynamite buried on the Sisseton-Wahpeton Reservation in South Dakota will be detonated today. A Bureau of Indian Affairs road crew burined the dynaminte in a farm on the edge of Agency Village in 1938. All 532 residents of the city have been evacuated. The blasts are expected to last all day. The Environmental Protection Agency are overseeing the action. Get the Story:
