Tribal lawsuit against Texaco dismissed

MAY 31, 2001 A federal judge in New York has dismissed a lawsuit brought by Indians in Ecuador and Peru who accused Texaco of poisoning the rain forest during 28 years of oil development. The judge said the case should be tried in Ecuador's court system. Get the Story:
