MARCH 26, 2001

The Coeur d'Alene Tribe and the state of Idaho are working on a way to operate jointly the Old Mission State Park, owned by the tribe and held in trust for the tribe by the federal government.

Under a 1975 agreement with the government, the state is responsible for its daily operations. The agreement expires in 2015 but the state and the tribe are looking at ways to extend the agreement.
