Russian reindeers starve to death

The Emergency Situations Ministry of the Russian government reported today that more than 3,500 reindeer have starved to death this weinter due to ice cold weather conditions in the Far North region of Chukotka.

The reindeer are used for meat, fur, and tranportation.
