A Wyoming group called Friends of the Northern Yellowstone Elk Herd has been questioning the presence of wolves in Yellowstone National Park, saying they are driving the elk herd into disaster.

But government and state wildlife bioligist say the elk herd is healthy and not endangered by the wolves. They say that human hunters are having a greater effect on the elk population that the wolves.

Friends says government experts are just trying to save their jobs because the National Park Service is undertaking studies to determine the behaviors and effects of the wolves.
