Religious leaders seek action on river

Twelve Roman Catholic bishops are urging Catholics and other interested citizens to take action in preserving the Columbia River.

A top concern of the bishops is saving threatened and endangered species of salmon. The bishops say people need to view the river as the spiritual life center of the region.
