JANUARY 17, 2001 Outgoing Secretary of Interior on Tuesday approved an agreement which seeks to resolve the decades-old dispute over water from the Colorado River. The agreement gives California 15 years to reduce their intake of the river. The state has been taking more than its appropriated share of water from the river. Get the Story:
