OCTOBER 16, 2000 The Fort Peck Reservation Rural Water System Act passed the Senate last week and is expected to be signed into law by President Bill Clinton this week. The bill authorizes the construction of a $175 million water system on and near the Fort Peck Reservation in Montana. Of that amount, $124 million goes to the Bureau of Reclamation for planning, design, and construction and to the Bureau of Indian Affairs for the operation and management of it.
