Leanne Moll is spending her school year teaching reading and writing on the Blackfeet Reservation in Montana.

The 38-year-old teacher from Maine uprooted her three children and mother to the reservation but moved off after a month, saying the area wasn't safe for her children. Moll also says she has run into prejudice in and out of school.

Moll's goal is to raise the reading level of students from 31 percent to 40 percent before she returns to Maine.
