S.D. tribe investigating university

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2001 The Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe of South Dakota will be investigating financial problems of a university it recently purchased, said Chairman Gregg Bourland on Monday. Bourland said the tribe may have been misled about the solvency of Huron University, which was purchased by the tribe's Si Tanka College last spring. An accoutant and a lawyer have been hired to investigate, he said. Get the Story:
