WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2001 The University of Alaska Southeast will use a $325,000 grant from the Department of Health and Human Services to help Alaska Natives get early teaching degrees. The school will use the funding to organize three gatherings to meet National Head Start Bureau requirements. The board requires half of teachers in a community to have an associate Early Childhood Education by 2003. Get the Story:
