Kan. Indian mascot targeted for removal

The principal of the Manhattan High School in Manhattan, Kansas, wants the school's "Indians" mascot renamed although most students oppose the change.

Principal Teresa Miller said the school should not have a steotypical mascot that offends American Indians. The school's mascot had been adopted in 1940 to honor a coach who said he was Indian.
