Zuni Pueblo in New Mexico is seeking the return of 65 artifacts excavated from an historic village in the 1900s.

But for now, the objects are on temporary loan from the Smithsonian Institution. The museum has lent the artifacts to the tribe for three years as part of an exhibit at the tribe's museum.

The artifacts were taken from the Zuni village of Hawikku, which was abanadoned by the 1800s.
