SEPTEMBER 1, 2000

On Tuesday night, thieves stole twenty-two artifacts from an Indian art exhibit at the Maryhill Museum of Art in Centerville, Washington.

Among the items stolen are beaded bags, moccasins and a bone breastplate. A museum curator said the thieves were "selective" in choosing what to take and that the artifacts are priceless.
