MONDAY, JULY 9, 2001 A trip to commemorate the Bozeman Trail ended a three-day layover in Fort Smith, Montana, on Sunday, after nearly a month of travel. The trip began in Fort Laramie, Wyoming, on June 11 and is set to end in Virginia City, Montana, on July 28. It is being held to commemorate the trail, whose use in the late 1800s led to wars between the government and Plains tribes. Get the Story:
