JULY 28, 2000 Ojibwe culture, life, food, art, and language were the subject of a summer school class at the Kenwood Elementary School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The course was designed to introduce studnets to Ojibwe culture, which remains an important part of Great Lakes life, due to Ojibwe tribes and bands who reside in the area. The Mille Lacs Ojibwe of Minnesota have opened their own Ojibwe school. It offers programs in Ojibwe language and culture. Get the Story:
