JULY 27, 2000 The University of Washington website is hosting ""American Indians of the Pacific Northwest," a digital collection of photos, reports, and other materials related to tribes in the Northwest. The database is fully searchable and represents over 2,300 photos, 3,800 pages of reports of the Commissioner of Indian Affairs, and photos of the six original treaties of 1855. The project is part of the Library of Congress' American Memory Project, which attempts to document digitally the culture and heritage of the United States. Get the Story:
