JULY 2, 2001 New York Times travel writer Stephen Kinzer talks about his recent visit to Bandelier National Monument and an historic Pueblo village known as Tyuonyi. Tyuonyi is one of several cliff dwellings located in the northern New Mexico monument. It was occupied by ancestors of today's Pueblos, who dispersed to surrounding areas in the 16th century.
